On July 16, 2026, NASA’s New Horizons spacecraft came out of sleep mode. It then hovered about 5.8 billion miles from Earth. The ship sits in the Kuiper Belt now. Ground crews checked every system after the wake-up call. No issues turned up in the tests. The probe will travel through the belt and watch what’s there.
