The 2026 Vuelta a Espana has officially kicked off. Tadej Pogacar secured top spot in stage one. He finished ahead of a group of three British riders. Brennan secured his first Vuelta stage victory. This happened after Wout van Aert tried to break away on a solo attack. Pogacar managed to catch Van Aert and matched his move.
