Ed Husic, the Australian Industry Minister, condemned Labour’s internal workings after his plan to permit a discussion on recognising Gaza was rejected.
Prime Minister Anthony Albanese reportedly described his remark at a conference as incompetent.
Husic responded by saying he was unperturbed by criticism, telling reporters: "put me in a ice box, I don't give a sh*t."
The dispute followed failed attempts to push the party to declare events in Gaza as genocide.
Internal papers and internal files were later filed that revealed serious rifts within Labour’s ranks over strategy and leadership.
