Connor Goldson made it through a 13-hour open-heart procedure during the night.
He spent Sunday night in the ICU after doctors finished the job.
Goldson wrote a short post just after midnight to say he's holding steady.
This was the second time in the past few months he has needed major surgery.
The player has now left hospital and is recovering at home with his family close by.
Medical staff have him under watch while he heals.
