Dollarama announced a recall of Heavenly Spices garlic powder in Canada after tests carried out found contaminating bacteria.
Health warnings released say it may cause gastrointestinal distress if eaten.
Customers should dispose of it and return leftovers back to stores.
The recall covers all packages sold at Dollarama outlets across Canada now.
Dollarama has labeled it a protective measure and did not reveal how many units were affected.
The issue comes after related problems in the United States earlier this year.
