The NFL is phasing out the annual Pro Bowl event after 75 years. The league is scrapping the on-field contest, but star players will continue to be recognized. Players will still be named as Pro Bowlers to receive their yearly recognition.
Player honors will remain intact despite the cancellation of the match. However, alternate players will no longer be recognized by the league. The move concludes the 75 year history of the yearly event, but leading stars will continue getting their official Pro Bowl accolades each year.
