Old Xaverians have lost their place in the VAFA Premier Division grand final. The club has been thrown out after it selected someone who did not qualify. This stemmed from a clerical error. The team said its players and staff are gutted about the error. St Kevin's will now take Old Xaverians' place in the final. The league says the rule was violated and the forfeit takes effect immediately.
