Tottenham Hotspur finalised an £85 million deal for midfielder Mateus Fernandes on Friday. West Ham United agreed terms after weeks of negotiations. Fernandes cleared his health checks and signed the contract straight away. Manchester United made a bid earlier this year. Tottenham met West Ham’s valuation to secure the transfer. The midfielder will now join Spurs’ first team before pre-season starts. The club announced the agreement after all documents were signed late on Friday night.
