Toronto’s general manager John Chayka said the club is eyeing a transaction for Columbus defenseman Zach Werenski following the NHL Draft.
The Leafs have selected multiple prospects in the draft’s final round.
Chayka confirmed that clubs are reaching out Columbus to gauge Werenski’s availability.
Rumors also associate goaltender Sergei Bobrovsky to the organization.
Chayka discussed the latest move of defenseman Brandon Carlo to St. Louis and noted that deadline pressures compel the club to act fast, reminding that the club must act quickly on all decisions.
