The Duchy’s growing nursery site is a private estate-operated garden center at Lostwithiel in Cornwall after a 50-year growth plan and ongoing expansions featuring a newer extension, retail space, and an Orangery restaurant. Prince William visited the site in July 2023 to see the extension, glasshouse, and gardens. Funds from the Duchy support the Duke’s public, private, and charitable activities. Located on the Duchy estate and is part of a long-standing estate operation which began public access in 1975. The site has grown through a 50-year plan. The nursery is among the South West’s most respected nurseries. The Duchy nursery continues to expand facilities including a new extension and maintains a focus on nature and horticulture.
