CenterPoint Energy acknowledged that customers' personal details was exposed in a data breach. Class action lawsuits were filed after the breach. The company stated services remain operational and that customer information was obtained.

Separately, the FBI told Springfield officials that a school cyber attack involved a data breach that could have revealed Social Security numbers. Records of students and staff were compromised in the Springfield Public Schools incident, the FBI said. The FBI delivered the alert to local officials.
