The Conservative Party has proposed plans to eliminate the £100,000 threshold for free childcare. Kemi Badenoch, the party's chief secretary, has labeled the current rule as 'absurd' and has mentioned that the move targets eliminating the 'cliff edge' where families with greater income face significant financial burdens. The proposal has been thoroughly discussed by major UK news outlets, like the BBC, The Guardian, and Financial Times.
